This summer, VTC Kids Day Camp will rehearse and perform Madagascar Jr! Based on the smash DreamWorks animated motion picture, Madagascar - A Musical Adventure JR. follows all of your favorite friends as they escape from their home in New York's Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien's Madagascar.
At VTC Kids Day Camp, campers learn basic musical theater techniques to communicate characters, feelings, and stories, which will increase their focus and exercise their imaginations. They will develop trust through cooperation and collaboration – learning to accept and build on each other's creative ideas in an atmosphere of DREAM: Diversity, Reciprocity, Education, Activism and Mentorship. These skills will serve them onstage and off!
VTC Kids Day Camp offers two sessions for campers, meeting weekdays at our theater in Montclair (180 Bloomfield Avenue, 2nd floor)
4 WEEKS: July 8 - August 2, 2024 - Weekdays 9:00 am - 3:30 pm - Tuition $1400
This session starts with a three day skill-sharpening mini-week to prepare campers for the three week intensive to follow.
3 WEEKS: July 15 - August 2, 2024 - Weekdays 9:00 am - 3:30 pm - Tuition $1200
Campers registering for the three week session will dive right into the camp experience and rehearsals.
