MISSION: Challenging social and cultural narratives through professional theater dedicated to DREAM: Diversity, Reciprocity, Education, Activism, and Mentorship.
VISION: To be recognized as a model in the theater community for purposeful inclusion of diverse voices and stories; partnerships that propel cross community conversations; and casting and leadership that reflects our communities.

This summer, VTC Kids Day Camp will teach and perform Dear Edwina Jr. The Action in Dear Edwina centers around a backyard performance by tween Edwina Spoonapple and friends, auditioning for the Kalamazoo Advice-a-Palooza Festival. Edwina is helped by a multitude of boys and girls that include her older siblings, quirky friends, and neighbors. Together they set out to tackle the world's problems with hysterical numbers about everything from crushes, shyness, birthday party etiquette, to the proper table settings. With lots of featured parts and a great score, Dear Edwina is the perfect show for VTC KIDS summer fun!

At VTC Kids Day Camp, campers learn basic musical theater techniques to communicate characters, feelings, and stories, which will increase their focus and exercise their imaginations. They will develop trust through cooperation and collaboration – learning to accept and build on each other's creative ideas in an atmosphere of DREAM: Diversity, Reciprocity, Education, Activism and Mentorship. These skills will serve them onstage and off!
